Center City SIPS Is Back

It's official: Philadelphia’s happiest happy hour is back.

Starting today, Wednesday, June 4, Center City SIPS returns for its 21st season, giving you the perfect excuse to round up your friends and dive into midweek cocktails, bites, and sun filled hangs. SIPS really is Philadelphia’s way of saying, "summer starts now."

So, what exactly is SIPS?

Every Wednesday from 5–7 PM through August 27, more than 90 bars and restaurants across Center City will offer unbeatable drink and food specials:
$7 cocktails
$6 wines
$5 beers
– And half-priced appetizers at many of the spots

Some locations even keep the night going with 15% off dinner after 7 PM, so if the vibes are right, you don’t have to end the night early.

Let’s Talk Kickoff Party

To really set the vibe, the season kicks off tonight with a 2000s-themed launch party at Dilworth Park from 5 to 8 PM. There’ll be a DJ dropping throwback bangers, tons of giveaways, and plenty of tequila-inspired fun thanks to Hornitos.

The launch party is free for anyone 21+, with ticketed upgrades available if you want to go VIP with it.

Where Should You Go First?

If you're wondering where to go first, check out the full list of participating bars and restaurants here. You’ll find options that span from upscale cocktail lounges and rooftop spots to bars with big patios and chill vibes.

Why Philly Loves SIPS

Because it’s not just about the cheap drinks. It’s coworkers heading out in groups, it’s friends catching up over their favorite flavored margaritas, and it’s the beginning of something fun every single Wednesday. It’s the first time all week you forget your inbox exists.

And, as we all know, no one does a crowd like Philly does a crowd. There's something about sipping your way through Center City with the energy of hundreds of people who are just as excited as you are.

But hey, not every Philly day is rooftop-ready.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate or you’re just not in a SIPS mood one week, check out our guide on What to Do in Philadelphia on a Rainy Day for cozy hangs, board games, and fun ways to keep the party going indoors.

Happy SIPS season, Philadelphia. We’ll see you at the bar.
