Garden Bar Fridays at the Rodin Museum

By the time Friday afternoon rolls around, we’re all looking for that perfect way to start the weekend. If your vibe is more “sip wine in a sculpture garden” than “sweat in a club,” the Garden Bar at the Rodin Museum is where you need to be.

Every Friday this summer (now through August 29), the Rodin Museum is transforming its dreamy outdoor space into the perfect post-work, culturally inclined kickback. Here, you can surround yourself with soft tunes, gorgeous greenery, cocktails, and light bites from 4 to 8:30 PM to ease you into the weekend.

What even is the Garden Bar?

It's a pop-up bar right in the middle of the Rodin Museum’s sculpture garden (aka, that serene little slice of Parisian energy on the Parkway). You’ll be sipping local wines and cocktails in the company of masterpieces like The Thinker. Not bad for happy hour, right?

Now for the fun stuff. First off, the garden is wide open and totally free. Bring your friends, bring a date, or roll solo with a book and a cold drink. Oh, and bring your dog, too. This is one of the rare Friday night spots where man’s best friend is not just allowed, but genuinely welcome.

When you’ve finished your cocktail, step inside the museum. It’s pay-what-you-wish, so you can throw in a couple bucks or stroll through Rodin’s world.

The garden fills up fast, especially when the weather is putting on a show. And if the weather decides not to play nice, walk on over to the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Friday Night Lounge, so your Friday doesn’t fizzle out.

P.S. If you're still not ready to call it a night after the garden lights dim, jump over to our other guide:The Best Philadelphia Bars for Meeting New People.
