Haunted Pier Is Taking Over Cavanaugh’s River Deck This Halloween Season
Something spooky is creeping along the Delaware River…
Cavanaugh’s River Deck has brought back Haunted Pier, a Halloween pop-up that’s positively full to the brim with creepy decorations, neon lights, and those bucket cocktails you simply need to order, all wrapped up into one late-night-seriously-spooky Philly party destination.
You can always find Cav’s along the Delaware River at 417 N. Christopher Columbus Boulevard, but this season, River Deck is trading its usual waterfront hangout feel for a haunted takeover inspired by the legend of a ghost ship known as The Red October. The result being a Halloween bar experience where you can grab a drink while you keep one eye on the water just in case something strange floats by.
Haunted Pier runs now through October 31, on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Spooky Sips, Creepy Photo Ops, and Waterfront Views
Haunted Pier isn't just about the ghost stories. The whole River Deck setup gets all dolled up for Halloween. All you have to do is look up and you’ll find oversized skeletons, jack-o'-lantern displays, creatures of the night, and plenty of spots to nap a perfectly creepy group photo.
However, if you're saving your biggest costume for Halloweekend, the venue is planning Halloween Night on the Pier on Saturday, October 31, with DJs and drink and food specials, all starting at 9 p.m.
With all that said, all you need to do now is pick your Halloween fit and head down to the waterfront. Just don't blame us if you hear footsteps behind you when nobody's there.
