The Big Dill Pickle Festival Is Coming Back to Philadelphia for National Pickle Day
Philadelphia, get ready to get yourself into a bit of a pickle. The Big Dill, billed as the World’s Largest Pickle Party, is returning to South Philly on Saturday, November 14, and this time it just so happens to fall on National Pickle Day. If you’ve ever looked at a pickle and considered making an entire day out of it, well, this is your moment.
The festival makes Stateside Live! its domain, bringing a full day of pickle-themed food, drinks, live entertainment, games and enough briny goodness to make even the most dedicated pickle fan feel right at home. The party runs from noon to 9 p.m., with entry times depending on your ticket.

Let’s start with the food.
The Big Dill is bringing together dozens of food vendors serving pickle-inspired creations, with fried pickles, pickle pizza, pickle pretzels, pickle fries, pickle pierogies and plenty of other combinations you probably haven’t thought to put together yet. There will also be more than 100 pickle varieties available for sampling, so you can figure out whether you’re a classic dill person, a spicy pickle loyalist or someone who’s ready to try something completely new.
And if you’re wondering whether the pickle obsession extends to the drinks, duh. Pucker up for pickle cocktails, pickle margaritas and pickle beer from Philadelphia’s own Evil Genius Beer Company. Why should you stop at eating pickles when you can drink them, too?
This Is More Than a Food Festival
This year’s Philadelphia lineup includes performances from the South Philadelphia String Band, Shot of Southern and DJs keeping the party moving. There’s also a Pickle RAVE, a pickle-themed game show, a mechanical pickle and a world-record attempt involving people dressed as pickles. Yes, really.
The festival is even planning a towering 25-foot pickle jar, because apparently, regular-sized pickles just aren’t enough anymore. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to grab photos, meet up with your crew and embrace the kind of ridiculousness that makes a festival memorable.
Plus, a Philadelphia edition of the pickle party wouldn’t be complete without some hometown flavor. The South Philadelphia String Band, is joining the festivities, as well as Shot of Southern taking the stage for a live performance. It's a hometown celebration, after all.
The DJ lineup includes DJ Jay Roy, who will lead the Pickle RAVE, plus DJ Andrew Hugh and DJ Big Country, bringing more music and party vibes throughout the event. Guests attending the VIP Pickle Brunch can also catch DJ Smooth hosting the festivities.
