Philadelphia’s Biggest World Cup Watch Party Is at Lemon Hill

There are several different avenues you can take when considering how you will watch the next World Cup match. You can watch it from your couch, where the snacks are close. You can also always squeeze into a bar like any other weekend. Or you can head to the FIFA Fan Festival Lemon Hill, where Philadelphia has turned a patch of Fairmount Park into an unrecognizable soccer hangout with incredible skyline views, big screens, food, drinks, and music (yeah, this option is our favorite).

For the run of the tournament, Lemon Hill is hosting Philadelphia’s FIFA Fan Festival, a free outdoor watch party built around the biggest soccer event in the world. At Lemon Hill, the matches are shown on large screens, so fans can follow the action without being glued to a tiny TV.

Around the viewing areas, there are food and drink options, music, activities, and cultural programming that make the festival feel like an actual festival, beyond just the game. It also helps that the location is doing a lot of the work. Lemon Hill has always been a great part of Phildelphia for locals to enjoy the outdoors, but add in some soccer fans in jerseys with groups of friends meeting up from every corner of the city, and there is truly no better place to be.

The best part is that you do not need a ticket to one of the stadium matches to feel included in the World Cup buzz. The Fan Festival gives locals and visitors a way to be part of the tournament without making the trip to South Philly and spending a load of money on a ticket.
