Philly Greek Takeover Hits Concourse This Sunday
Philly Greek Takeover is bringing the best parts of every formal, step show, and brunch into one basement nightclub this Sunday, August 30, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Concourse Dance Bar.
The Venue Is Doing Half the Work Here
The venue of Concourse itself is exactly why a daytime event like this works as well as it does. The place sits underground, entrance tucked around the back of 1635 Market Street, and it's designed less like a nightclub and more like an immersive, multi-room playground, with rotating DJs, unexpected corners, and a ball pit that's become something of a Philly nightlife legend on its own. Most of the time, that setup is reserved for Friday and Saturday nights. This Sunday, it's getting deployed at 2 in the afternoon.

What You're Actually Signing Up For
Three DJs are running the sound, M.RAXKZ, HBK, and DJ Flow, so you already know this isn't a Bluetooth speaker situation. Tickets scale depending on how much of the experience you want: $25 gets you in the door, $35 adds the brunch buffet, and $50 stacks brunch with bottomless mimosas on top. For anyone who wants to go bigger, there's an early-bird open bar ($60 well liquor, $75 mid-tier) and group options running from VIP tables ($250 for four people, 12 drink tickets) up to full VIP sections ($500 for ten people, 30 drink tickets). Everything's 21-and-up, no exceptions.
Why This One's Worth Clearing Your Sunday For
Most Sundays end with a dining hall meal and homework, yet this one ends with brunch, bottomless mimosas, three DJs, and, we have to say it again, A BALL PIT. Which is, objectively, a much higher bar to clear. Plus, we’re always here for a promoter doing something genuinely different with a day most people write off entirely.
Want a lower-key Sunday instead? Check out our piece on Bar Cicci, Ellen Yin's new all-day Italian aperitivo bar in Rittenhouse Square for a day well spent with espresso, spritzes, and a much quieter kind of good time.
