Carols & Cocktails brings a steady rotation of live performers to East Market. You’ll hear music as you walk through Chestnut Walk and Jefferson Plaza, and the whole area is decorated for the season. Grab a hot cocoa (or a winter cocktail) and warm up by a s’mores station or enjoy featured snacks, courtesy of local restaurants.
One of the nicest parts of Carols & Cocktails is that it’s festive without being overwhelming. There’s plenty of space, even during their busiest times, and it doesn’t feel as packed as so many other spots in Center City around the holidays. It’s also a great stop before dinner in Midtown Village or a great starting point for anyone doing holiday shopping in the area.
The series runs on select December evenings, typically from late afternoon into the early evening, so around 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Arrive before sunset so you can watch the lights flip on while the performances start warming up. It’s peak holiday serotonin. If you like the idea of a festive outing that doesn’t require tickets and heavy planning, this series fits the bill.
